The Mary MacKillop Spirituality Ministry is expanding the use of its retreat and heritage properties with the introduction of a new family-focused holiday package at the Mary MacKillop Spirituality Centre, Kincumber (NSW). Scheduled for Monday 11 to Sunday 18 January 2026, the initiative reflects the Ministry’s ongoing commitment, since its formation, to adapt and extend service offerings while remaining faithful to its spiritual purpose.
Located at 8 Humphreys Road, Kincumber South, the Centre is set on approximately 50 acres of bushland adjoining the Brisbane Waters on the Central Coast. The lakeside property has long served as a place of retreat, reflection, and formation. This new holiday package has been designed to utilise the site during the summer period by providing a structured program that combines accommodation, communal worship, spiritual input, and family-oriented activities.
The week-long package is open to families and includes onsite accommodation, daily continental breakfast, a welcome dinner, a farewell dinner, and one BBQ lunch. Daily Mass is offered at 7.00am, along with a 90-minute spiritual reflection session for adults on four days during the week. Individual spiritual direction is also available. To support family participation, supervised children’s activities and child-minding are provided during adult program times.
The Kincumber Centre’s location near Kincumba Mountain Reserve and Brisbane Waters offers access to a range of outdoor environments. Families staying at the Centre may also make use of the property’s swimming pool, free onsite parking and Wi-Fi. Nearby attractions include Cockrone Lagoon, Avoca Beach, and a variety of recreational activities available across the Central Coast. Discount vouchers for selected local attractions are included as part of the package, along with Mary MacKillop Museum tours and a family movie night held in the Centre’s hall.
All rooms provide access to kitchenettes, and additional catering options such as picnic packs may be purchased. Children under three years of age stay and eat free, with parents providing appropriate bedding. Full payment is required at the time of booking, and standard cancellation conditions apply.
By introducing this holiday package, the Mary MacKillop Spirituality Ministry is responding to contemporary needs while ensuring its properties continue to support spiritual engagement, hospitality and responsible stewardship. Spaces are limited, and bookings are now open for families seeking a structured, yet flexible holiday experience grounded in faith and community.
