At the Heart of Matter is the Heart of God – exploring the spirituality insights of Teilhard de Chardin

Reflection day aims to explore insights using Pierre Teilhard de Chardin:
• an understanding of matter as sacred, a unity of spirit and matter.
• an evolutionary sense of God.
• a growing awareness of the noosphere (the planetary mind), as speaking of a moving towards the more, a moving towards an ever increasing ‘intense beauty,’ God.

Content:
• An awakening universe
• The universe unfolds in God, who fills it completely – Laudato Si
• The mystery of the incarnation
• Love’s redemptive work – an understanding of suffering
• Universal law of gravity – the power of attraction
• The noosphere – the planetary mind

Process will include:
• Contemplative reading and listening
• Sharing of insights and wisdom – communal reflection
• Artistic reflection
• Ritual and liturgy
