A retreat on letting go, healing and finding your way through God

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28).

As we progress through adulthood, life has a way of feeling overwhelming and messy: career and family pressures, relationships breaking down, stress pulling us in every direction, grief, and decisions we might have made that hurt others and ourselves. These experiences are common in most of our lives but often go unaddressed and can continue to wound us. Left unaddressed, this can prevent us from deepening our relationship with God and finding peace in our lives.

If you’ve been questioning:

  • Why life feels harder than you expected
  • Why you can’t figure things out on your own
  • How to prevent your past from hurting your future
  • Where God is in the mess, and how grace can help heal you
  • Will healing bring you closer to God, and help you flourish…

This retreat is for you.

Release, Restore & Reclaim is a multi-day facilitated journey guided by a structured 12-step process, where you will:

  • Release the weight you’ve been carrying – naming it honestly and learning how to put it down.
  • Restore your understanding of who God is and the part his presence can play amongst life’s mess.
  • Reclaim a life shaped by that healing, not by your past — with clear decisions to guide your future.

What you’ll come away with:

  • Clarity on your personal pressures and pain, named and brought into the light
  • A proven, repeatable 12-step process for letting go of what you’ve been carrying
  • Practical centring prayer, to release into the Trinity’s healing presence
  • An understanding of God as healer, not punisher
  • Renewed, hope-filled meaning and purpose
  • 1–2 concrete decisions to carry home, so this becomes a real turning point
  • New connections with others reclaiming their own way back to God

Your facilitator:

Anne Slingo brings almost forty years’ experience in Catholic education to her work in formation and spiritual direction. Formed in Ignatian Spirituality and a certified giver of the First Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius, Anne has spent decades opening charism for Catholic organisations — teaching new ways of praying, discernment, sacred listening and conversation. She creates a space where people are gently accompanied as they make sense of who they are, and who they’re becoming.

This retreat is perfect for:

Anyone ready to stop carrying life’s weight alone, heal from the past and reclaim their future in faith.
